Elderwood at Hornell, North Creek, to gain new administrators

HORNELL, NY – Elderwood at Hornell administrator David Denny will be moving to a new position as administrator of the recently acquired Elderwood at North Creek in Northern New York. Sabrina Neal will take over administrative duties at Elderwood at Hornell, effective May 14, 2018.

Ms. Neal remains in the building where she has served as director of nursing and assistant administrator since June 2011. She obtained her certificate in long term care administration in November 2017 from Saint Joseph’s College. This move will allow Ms. Neal to utilize her strengths in clinical supervision and operation management, while Mr. Denny will work to build the capacity and quality of care offered in North Creek.

“Sabrina has a strong work ethic and a solid clinical background. Her hard work and willingness to make a difference as an administrator should serve her well for many years to come,” Mr. Denny said. “She will be a great asset for Elderwood at Hornell.”

Mr. Denny is a licensed nursing home administrator with more than 20 years of experience in the field. His work spans for-profit and not-for-profit environments with a strong presence in skilled nursing facilities. He is excited for the opportunities and challenges that await him at Elderwood at North Creek.

“Life in the North Country is unique in that everyone knows one another. Elderwood at North Creek is learning to adapt to change, but the staff are more than capable of succeeding in not only adapting to change, but embracing it,” he said. “I look forward to leading this group as we strive to make a difference in the lives of those entrusted to our care.”
