Former Inter-Lakes Health facilities join Elderwood community

TICONDEROGA, NY – Elderwood is expanding into the Ticonderoga area with the addition of two facilities. Elderwood at Ticonderoga, formerly Heritage Commons, and Elderwood Village at Ticonderoga, formerly Moses Ludington Adult Care, joined the Elderwood care community effective Tuesday, April 10, 2018. The skilled nursing and assisted living facilities are located at 1019 Wicker Street, Ticonderoga.

The purchases enhance Elderwood’s presence in the Adirondack Region. The investment in the former Inter-Lakes Health properties include 84 beds at Elderwood at Ticonderoga and 23 beds at Elderwood Village at Ticonderoga. Fundamental to Elderwood’s mission and values is ensuring care remains local.

Both facilities will retain their administrators who will continue to oversee operations under new leadership. Elderwood at Ticonderoga will be led by Administrator Heidi Schempp and Elderwood Village at Ticonderoga will be led by Administrator Kristen True.
