Rebekah Rehabilitation to join Elderwood
February 2, 2018Purchase enables Elderwood to expand in Niagara Region
Elderwood at Lockport, formerly Odd Fellow & Rebekah Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, became the newest member of the Elderwood Care Community, effective Tuesday. The skilled nursing facility is located at 104 Old Niagara Road, Lockport.
Last year the Odd Fellow and Rebekah’s board of directors actively sought a buyer that had the residents’ and local community’s interests at heart. Elderwood has a reputation for providing high-quality care, something that is reflected in its quality reporting measures and patient satisfaction scores.
“We are pleased to welcome Odd Fellow and Rebekah into the Elderwood family of companies. This acquisition allows Elderwood to expand its presence further into Niagara County,” Dr. Jeffrey Rubin, co-CEO, said. “We plan to leverage the excellent reputation and care provided by the staff, and will work together to enhance the services provided at the facility.”
Fundamental to the company mission and values is the goal to ensure care remains local. Providing quality health care to local communities is important to Elderwood, as it focuses on building a deep and local presence in the markets they serve.
Elderwood at Lockport will be led by Administrator Shari Hutchison. Along with the Wheatfield campus, Elderwood at Lockport will be the second addition of Elderwood facilities within Niagara County.
