HORNELL, NY – Elderwood at Hornell administrator David Denny will be moving to a new position as administrator of the recently acquired Elderwood at North Creek in Northern New York. Sabrina Neal will take over administrative duties at Elderwood at Hornell, effective May 14, 2018. Ms. Neal remains in the building where she has served as director of nursing and assistant administrator since June 2011. She obtained her certificate in long term care administration in November 2017 from Saint Joseph’s College. This move will allow Ms. Neal to utilize her strengths in clinical supervision and operation management, while Mr. Denny will work to build the capacity and quality of care offered in North Creek. LIVERPOOL, NY – Michael Tisbe, PT, DPT, CSCS, director of rehab for Elderwood at Liverpool, was elected vice president of the New York Physical Therapy Association (NYPTA). As vice president of NYPTA, He will serve on the Executive Committee and facilitate information exchanges between committees, the Board of Directors and/or the Executive Committee. Mr. Tisbe has held various positions on NYPTA since 2013 including director central district, leadership committee liaison and program committee chair. LOCKPORT, NY – Elderwood at Lockport, a subacute rehabilitation and long-term care community at 104 Old Niagara Road, Lockport, has earned a three-star rating from Medicare.gov. The 126 bed facility ranks first in multiple direct nursing categories. The number of LPN hours and Nurse Aide hours spent per resident, per day, are the highest of any skilled nursing facility in Niagara County. In less than three months, the facility’s star ranking increased to three stars since it was purchased by Elderwood in January.
