Elderwood at Wheatfield Rated Well by U.S. News

Niagara-Wheatfield Tribune

Elderwood at Wheatfield, 2600 Niagara Falls Blvd., has been recognized as offering a high performing short-stay rehab program by U.S. News and World Report. The report on subacute rehabilitation programs was provided alongside the U.S. News “best nursing home” standings for overall quality.

All facilities with sufficient data on patient outcomes and nurse staffing in the July Nursing Home Compare data set received a U.S. News rating. Rating metrics included nurse staffing, patient outcomes, facility complaints and routine patient care. In addition, nursing homes were assessed based on the appropriateness of the therapy minutes provided, as well as the consistency of nurse staffing across self-reported and payroll based reporting systems.

The Short-Stay Rehabilitation rating is not based on Nursing Home Compare star ratings.

“This U.S. News and World Report rating reflects the quality work and exceptional care that the Elderwood at Wheatfeld team provides every day to residents, patients and their families,” said Executive Director Denise Bothwell.
