LAKE PLACID, NY – Rachel Tart has been named assistant administrator at Elderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid, a skilled nursing and subacute rehabilitation facility at 185 Old Military Road, Lake Placid.

Ms. Tart received her bachelor of science degree in psychology in 2009 from SUNY College at Plattsburgh. A native of Jay, NY, she has held previous positions in social services at several area medical centers and health care communities and served as assistant administrator at the Essex Center for Rehabilitation and Health Care in Elizabethtown.

“I decided to pursue my administrator’s license because I wanted to be able to advocate for both the residents and the staff,” she said. “It is important to have and build a strong team to provide the utmost care for those who live in our community and for those who are just trying to get stronger to return home.”

Ms. Tart lives in Plattsburgh with her husband and son.
