BUFFALO, NY – Richard Cleland has been named Regional Director of Operations for Elderwood. In his new role, Mr. Cleland will provide direction and oversight to the leadership of the Central New York region including Elderwood of Lakeside at Brockport, Elderwood at Hornell, Elderwood at Liverpool, and Elderwood at Waverly.

For two years, Mr. Cleland held the role of chief executive officer at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, NY. He most recently served as president of Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital in Elmira, NY.

A licensed nursing home administrator, Mr. Cleland has extensive experience in program development, process improvement and performance management. He has provided operation workforce engagement, business growth and regulatory compliance initiatives.

Mr. Cleland received his Master of Public Administration/Health Care Management from Canisius College in Buffalo. He currently lives in Clarence, NY with his family.
