Hutchison will lead Elderwood-Lockport

Shari Hutchison has been named administrator of Elderwood at Lockport, 104 Old Niagara Road.

Hutchison’s appointment comes after Elderwood’s acquisition of the former Odd Fellow & Rebekah Rehabilitation & Health Care Center and the retirement of its longtime administrator, Eugene Urban.

Hutchison will lead the staff at the 126-bed facility. She has more than 30 years of experience in the health care industry, in New York and Ohio. Most recently she was administrator of Edna Tina Wilson Living Center in Rochester.

Hutchison holds a bachelor of professional studies degree in health services management from the State University of New York at Utica.

Formerly Shari Borner, she lives in the Western New York area. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping and traveling.

Welch advances in Connecticut banking

Lockport native Carolyn Welch has been named senior vice president of commercial lending management at Chelsea Groton Bank in Connecticut.

In her new role, Welch will lead the bank’s commercial lending team in attracting, developing and growing commercial relationships throughout the bank’s market area.

Since joining the bank in 2016 as vice president, commercial loan officer, Welch developed relationships with businesses of various sizes and types, as well as legal and accounting professionals throughout Connecticut. In 2017, she closed over $21 million in commercial loans.

Welch is the daughter of Edward and Marietta Poole and a graduate of Niagara County Community College, Niagara University and Leadership Niagara. She has completed several courses at the American Institute of Banking and advanced courses in leadership, commercial credit and investment training, and is currently a member of the board of directors of Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce.

She resides in Wallingford, Conn., with her husband Kevin and daughter Jamie.

Perri Roberts named seniorpartner at law firm

Diane M. Perri Roberts has been named a senior partner with the law firm of Lipsitz Green Scime Cambria.

Perri Roberts focuses her practice in the areas of employment litigation and commercial litigation. She represents businesses in contract disputes and employment matters in federal and state court as well as in mediations and arbitrations. Perri Roberts also defends employers in labor matters brought before the EEOC, the New York State Division of Human Rights, and OSHA.

Perri Roberts earned a J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo, an MBA from Niagara University, and a B.S. from the State University College of New York at Buffalo. She is chair of the Lewiston Democratic Committee and special counsel to the Niagara County Democratic Committee.

Perri Roberts has been recognized by her peers in Super Lawyers and Legal Elite of WNY.
